Production Update

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for your patience while things have been quiet lately. The lack of updates is primarily due to me having been ill for a majority of 2020 so far. I got knocked down by a bad flu, which then was followed up by a lovely bout of strep throat. Suffice to say, it has put me a little bit behind on my communication. On the bright side, I have lost 12 pounds, so there's always a silver lining!

Happy to say that things are moving along with the DeLand production. Our coins are finished and in the warehouse and they look just as beautiful as the prototype. Trust me, if you have not added on a coin, you're going to wish you had!

The Collector Boxes are also in production, and of course, the decks themselves. Due to the USPCC holiday shut-down, the first months of the year being a busy season for them, and the complex production with different production facilities for the cards, tuck boxes, and gilding, it does look like the deck production may take a little longer than originally estimated. This shouldn't put us behind very much, and we still think there's a good chance that the decks will be done near the end of March, with fulfillment likely happening in April.

Surveys were sent out in December. We will not lock down the surveys until a couple of weeks before we begin shipping. This will allow everyone the most possible time to add-on extra items and make any necessary changes to your shipping address. If you haven't gotten your survey or aren't sure, just send a note through the Kickstarter messenger and we'll send you a new link. Almost everyone has completed their surveys, so most of you are all set to go.

Now is just the fun but difficult waiting game while we wait for these fantastic cards to be finished.

Surveys & Production Update

Hi DeLand backers! We hope you each had a happy, safe, and healthy Thanksgiving.

SURVEYS

BackerKit surveys will be coming to everyone soon. They are currently under review with the BackerKit admins. We expect to send the surveys by the middle of this week.

It is VITAL that you fill out your survey - it is the way that you will confirm your shipping address, as well as any add-on items you might want. Without your survey, we can't ship your pledge items!

PRODUCTION

Production is on track with USPCC. This is a hugely busy time of year for them. With the complexity of the designs in this project, the proofing process took a bit longer than usual. They will be closing to celebrate the holidays during the end of this month, but we don't expect that to have any impact on the overall production and delivery of the DeLand decks, which we still expect to begin shipping in March.

COINS & ADD-ONS

AS many of you know, we hit our $20k stretch goal in the final hours of the campaign, which unlocked the 2" collector coin, but did not allow anyone much time to add it to their pledge. 

The coin WILL be available in BackerKit as an add-on. We received the protoype a few days ago, and it looks fantastic. The coin is a large & hefty 2" diameter, with a beautiful antique copper finish. One side showcases the Daisy art, while the other showcases the Nifty design.

Once you receive your survey this week, you'll be able to add-on coins, as well as additional regular decks, stripper decks, collector sets, and uncut sheets.

If you have any questions about your specific pledge, please DM us through the Kickstarter messenger system and we will help you out right away.

We did it!! What's next?

Hello everyone! Thank you all for the support of the DeLand Centennial campaign over the past month. The campaign ended yesterday having surpassed $20,000! That's amazing!

Kickstarter has charged credit cards on file. For anyone who had a payment error, Kickstarter will send you reminders and will give a one week grace period to log in and correct payment info before dropping you from the campaign. We'd hate for that to happen to anyone, so if you're one of the few backers with a payment error, please hop on and update your info ASAP.

What about the coin? We surpassed the $20k mark in the final few hours of the campaign. This was also a stretch goal milestone to unlock our custom coin. Of course, hitting the goal so close to the end did not allow much time for anyone to add-on the coin.

Fear not! We will still be offering the coin as an add-on via BackerKit for any and all who would like one. We will send out additional coin info in an upcoming post.

What's BackerKit, you may ask? BackerKit is the platform we will be using for surveys. It is a simple service that allows you to verify your pledge items & add-ons, as well as verify your shipping info.

We will be sending out the BackerKit surveys in the next couple of weeks. Right now is the KS holding period, where folks are given the grace period to correct payment info if needed. After that, we have our final Backer tally, and it is usually another 7-10 days before Kickstarter sends over the funds.

Once funds are received, we can initiate the printing with USPCC! Hurray!

We'll continue to post updates over the next few steps of the process.

All is going well with the DeLand Centennial campaign. We have one week left to go, and right now are less than $800 away from unlocking our next stretch goal, the Commemorative Coin!

Gilded Goal Unlocked!
